Ice fishing has deeply rooted traditions in Finland, and this is one of the most enjoyable ways to spend your day outdoors - take it easy on a snowmobile sleigh ride to the lake and soak in natures serenity while you try your luck at ice fishing.
You will be served a warm lunch at the Wilderness restaurant, and you may even get to cook the fish you managed to catch!

1. Transportation to Star Arctic Hotel
Pick-up from the agreed location (if requested)
2. Gear-Up for the Adventure
Suit up in provided winter gear (thermal suits, boots, gloves, etc.)
3. Transportation to the Wilderness Center
It takes approximately 20 minutes
4. Meet up with your guide
Meet your guide at the stop.
Explanation of how the excursion will work
Going to the gear room to get the fishing equipment.
5. Activity Starts
Trek through the snow to reach the lake.
Learn how to drill a hole in the ice, fish, and practice the art of patience.
Take a break and enjoy a warm drink.
Small ride with the snowmobile in the surrounding area.
Return to the meeting point.
Return the ice fishing equipment.
6. Lunch at the restaurant
The guide will show you where is the restaurant in the Wilderness Center
Time to eat and enjoy the meal.
7. Transfer Back
Time to thank and say goodbye to the guide.
Transfer back from the Wilderness Center to the Hotel.
Return the overalls.
If you have booked a transfer from another pickup point, a return transfer will be waiting for you at the end of the tour.
