You will have an unforgettable experience with wild reindeer roaming from the forests to meet you and spend time with the reindeer with no rush in the world.
Enjoy the warmth of a campfire whilst grilling homemade sausages or having sandwiches. Have a cup of coffee or tea and just relax. That’s what the reindeer herding experience is all about!

1. Transportation to Star Arctic Hotel
Pick-up from the agreed location (if requested when booking)
2. Gear-Up for the Adventure
Suit up in provided winter gear (thermal suits, boots, gloves, etc.)
Helmets are also provided (you will wear them once in the sled, not in the car)
3. Transportation to the Reindeer Spot by Car
It takes about 25 min
4. Arrival at the Reindeer Spot
Meet your guide and the reindeer herders
The guide will transport you via sled, with the guide driving a snowmobile
5. Reindeer Adventure Begins
Begin searching for the reindeer in the forest
Once found you will have a stop at the right place, where they will be approaching you
Feeding the reindeer with the food that the reindeer herders provide
Learn about the reindeer herders' life and the Sami culture in this remote part of the world
6. Break time at the fireplace
Small snack break with the reindeer herders including warm drink and opportunity to use natures outdoor toilet
7. Return to the Hotel
Drive back with the sled to the Reindeer spot where your driver will meet you and drive you back to the hotel
If you have booked a transfer from another pickup point, a return transfer will be waiting for you at the end of the tour.
